It certainly feels faster to use Windsurf or Cursor with Gemini-2.5-pro, o3 or Sonnet 4.0 but then I just asked to remove an unused menu item and lost over an hours work chasing a phantom of intention. No idea why that was so hard for the poor little model.
Finally reverted to a backup I had created manually a short while before we started. And there are probably still bugs in it too that the LLMs have produced by erasing things it didn’t need to or renaming things it wasn’t working on. These aren’t just hallucinations, they are coding overshoot and 4-dimensional typos.
Still even with the bungling I feel like this particular bit of coding should finish coming together. The RunPod network storage and on-demand server, the python/Flask server and html interface to sum up access to a powerful animation engine which although useful is still just barely past stage 1 of the project. 2 more stages to go. 2.5 if you count the audio hassle. That’s going to be an especial hassle. I’m hoping to corral the help of 2 very bright young musician/engineers but if they remain out of touch I may have to find other assistance.
Bizarre that I will be able to fund and implement such a very complex project by myself on low-end accounts and charity credits from helpful company reps. But I’ve got a strong feeling once this gets going they will be very glad to have contributed.
The chicken from the sun oven smells wonderful. But we’re having chicken Alfredo mom made this morning for supper. I’m so proud of the old gal, sticking it out to stay upright and make a meal. Love to see her getting back on her feet again.
I gotta keep chopping that code wood. Make the world a better place and find mom a better home, that’s my target.
